Challenge #10- Be like our Savior Jesus Christ, go about doing good
This is the ongoing assignment. This has been such a fun challenge and it was fun to see the Christmas spirit come alive in the kids. We look forward to keeping the Christmas spirit alive all the year through.
Challenge #9- Be Helpful to the poor and needy: seek to bless their lives
We have had many opportunities to serve this Christmas season. We have had such a great time participating in the light the world campaign that the church encouraged people worldwide to participate in. We provided gifts for a refugee family that is settling in Idaho.

Challenge # 8- Be forgiving: mend a relationship and forgo a grudge
"If we are to have unity, there are commandments we must keep concerning how we feel. We must forgive and bear no malice toward those who offend us. The Savior set the example from the cross: ‘Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do’ (Luke 23:34). We do not know the hearts of those who offend us.”
Henry B Eyring
As in everything our Savior is the perfect example in this. Forgiveness is one of the most difficult commandments to live, but also one of the most rewarding to follow.
Wise man says "Forgiveness is divine but never pay full price for late pizza."

Challenge #7- Be Kind and Gentle; treat everyone with kindness, especially the downtrodden.
We enjoyed the challenge to be a little kinder to one another. It is such a great reminder that we never know what others are going through and that even a simple smile or a hello can lift their spirits. May we be a little kinder, a little more compassionate, a little more forgiving as we continue on our journey through life.

Challenge # 6- Be full of Hope: Seek Understanding, Live with hope for yourself and others
The boys were hopeful that they wouldn't have any cavities, one was filled with excitement after his trip to the dentist and the other learned an important lesson in obedience and not hiding candy under your pillow to eat in bed. The hope that filled their hearts in anticipation was exciting. We had a great day yesterday, the boys are out of school this week and we started it off with a bang! Everyone is so excited with Christmas coming so quickly the hope and wonder is filling our house as we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Challenge # 5- Be encouraging, share praise, inspiration and encouragement
This challenge was a fun one for me to watch as a mom, as my children encouraged not only each other, but their friends at church as well. I watched as Peyton encouraged a friend to be part of the Nativity during sharing time, and as Brady told a boy from his class he did a good job on his part. I know these weren't out of character for my boys to do, but this challenge reminded me that I need to be a little more mindful of all the small and simple things that my children do to bring good into the world.

Challenge # 4- Be Happy: Chooses to be of good cheer, laugh a little and share it with others
Yesterdays challenge was an easy one, maybe it was the company we were with. It is easy to be happy and share happiness when we are surrounded with happiness. We love spending time with family and the friendships that our kids have with their cousins. Thanks for spending the day with us we love you all.
